Make Your Own Choices

As a teenager, I tried out various extracurricular activities in the past. Ever since I joined the rope skipping team in primary school, I developed my passion in sports. I participated in skipping team and volleyball team since S.1.. I dedicated most of my secondary school life in rope skipping and volleyball training and competitions. Those experience extremely beneficial for my personal development. I’ve been uncertain about academic choices. During to COVID 19 pandemic, we had to halt all training and competitions.


I began to consider my other interests. I enjoyed participating in various events, and I'm curious about planning and organizing them. So, I started looking up information on event management. Honestly, it was surprised that a lot of people of my new academic path as I was chosen geography and history as my elective in secondary school.


I believe in my passion and my abilities to manage the program, even though I didn't transitinto the University program as easily as I hoped. I applied the higher diploma program of HKCC. Although everyone seems being unknown and biased of this programme, still, I enjoyed my time at HKCC studying event management.

I had an amazing time studying with my friends there and working hard every day. We all shared the same goal of getting into university. This experience helped me learn more about my abilities and interests in this subject. In the end, my best friends and I also achieved good results in this university program and met lots of new friends.


It's crucial to understand that there aren't shortcuts in reaching your goals. Sometimes, you might run into challenges and look for alternative solutions. This applies to me, you, and everyone. Just be mindful of everything that piques your interest, as it could lead you to different path in life!
